Description
Since 2009, the South Holston River Lodge has welcomed anglers year-round with all-inclusive stays. The property includes four riverside cabins, each offering privacy, scenic river views, and full comfort amenities.
Caddis Cabin
This cozy cabin includes one queen bed, one full bed, and a twin-size loft bed. Guests enjoy a private bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchenette, climate control, Wi‑Fi, and a lounge with a flat-screen TV—perfect for relaxing evenings with river views.
Blue Wing Olive Cabin
Known as the “BWO,” this two-story cabin features two upstairs private bedrooms sharing one full bathroom. The larger bedroom has two queen beds; the second bedroom includes a full bed and a twin bunk. Both rooms come with heating/cooling, cable TV, and internet access. The ground floor serves as the lodge’s dining facility.
Mayfly Cabin
Once a 1912 farmhouse, the three-story Mayfly Cabin delivers rustic charm. It includes two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and an inviting foyer with storage. Relax in the den—furnished with four mission-style recliners, a gas fireplace, and a flat-screen TV. The main level features a full kitchen, with an upper level housing both bedrooms. The lower level is a game room, complete with a pool table, ping-pong, card table, and jukebox. A second-floor balcony overlooks the river.
Midge Cabin
A hillside retreat sitting close to the river, the Midge Cabin offers one bedroom with a queen bed, private bathroom, Wi‑Fi, and flat-screen TV. Its intimate setting makes it ideal for solo travelers or couples.
Dining & Beverages
The lodge provides breakfast every morning and varying lunch and dinner menus daily. In colder months, guests receive hot soup in a thermos at lunch. Each evening begins with appetizers, followed by a family‑style dinner including soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. All non-spirited alcohol and beverages are included. Special dietary needs can be accommodated if arranged in advance.
Activities Beyond Fishing
Non-anglers can enjoy local hiking and biking trails, visit the nearby Bristol Caverns formed over millions of years, or explore cultural attractions like the Birthplace of Country Music Museum and the Bristol Motor Speedway—all offering true Southern flavor.
Connectivity & On-Site Communication
Each cabin includes Wi‑Fi and a landline phone. Cell service in the lodge and surrounding area is limited, so complimentary Wi‑Fi is your main way to stay connected.
Boats and Gear Provided
Guests will enjoy a day on the water in traditional-style drift boats, designed for comfort and easy maneuvering on the river. These boats offer a smooth, stable ride—perfect for both seasoned anglers and those new to the sport.
